A Word from Our President .....

2018 holds much promise and melodious opportunities for MUSE!  We are so excited for our audiences both near and far to experience our new Music Director,  Jillian Harrison-Jones. Jillian brings warmth, innovation and musical excellence to launch MUSE into our next 35 years!  The Board thanks all who attended and generously donated at our first Friends and Fund Raiser this past November at the National Underground Freedom Center where MUSE recorded our Welcome! Concert for CET.  Look for an announcement in the future as to when Welcome! will broadcast and MUSE will be in your living rooms. Please join us for our final Welcome! performance on Sunday, February 25 at Dater Montessori Auditorium.

Other news the Board is excited about:

  • March will bring to Cincinnati the inaugural National Women's History Month Festival I, the brainchild of former longtime MUSE accompanist, Rachel Kramer.  MUSE is honored to be a participating partner in this festival and your donor dollars make it possible for the choir to participate in such relevant opportunities.

  • Our new website is up and running.  Check it out here: www.musechoir.org

  • The Board approved purchasing a new copier/printer and computer for our MUSE office at Community Matters

  • We are looking for donations for a "high-end" raffle at our 35th Spring concert on May 19th at Memorial Hall. If you would be willing to donate, please contact us at: boardpresident@musechoir.org

  • Have you ever wanted to serve on a Board? MUSE is looking for some "at-large" community candidates to serve a 2 year term beginning in August 2018.  Contact me at: boardpresident@musechoir.org

It continues to be my pleasure to continue to serve as MUSE Board President for this 35th season and to again thank all of you who support MUSE in any capacity.  Whether you are a donor, a regular concert attendee, someone who loves MUSE from afar, or all of the above, we humbly THANK YOU for your love and passion for feminist choral music with an emphasis on social justice.  MUSE cannot survive without our audiences!

            Thank you so much,

            Amy Arnold
